About Mexico City Insider

The vision for Mexico City Insider is simple: to be a trusted, go-to resource for uniquely local opportunities – things that can only be found and, more importantly, only relevant if you’re a part of the CDMX community.
The site isn’t designed for any one particular audience. The people who use this site come from all walks: chilangos, nomads, ex-pats, residents, citizens, tourists, natives. The common thread is an interest in being and becoming a deeper part of this multi-layered and multi-faceted city to participate in events, work & volunteer opportunities, find hidden places to stay, use recommended services and buy or sell items locally.
At this time, the site offers the opportunity for you to find & share: *
- Events: from festivals to fitness to fundraisers, we have happenings for every passion
- Jobs: remote work, local opportunities and everything in-between
- Real estate: rooms, apartments and houses for rent and for sale
- Classifieds: a community space for find or sell that special item or two
How to create a listing
Creating your own listing here is simple:
- Click on the “Add a listing” button at the top of the page
- Choose the type of listing (event, classified, job, real estate)
- Choose your preferred package option (Basic, Standard or Premium)
- Enter the information for your listing and upload images, etc.
- Submit your listing for review and approval (we usually approve listings in minutes)!
Free vs Paid listings
There are three options for listings: Free, Paid and Promoted
Anyone can create any of the three types.
Basic listings are visible on the site for 14 days and allow you to display:
- 🖼️ Cover image
- 📝 Short description (250 characters)
- ✉️ Contact Information
- ❌ No other fields
Basic listings are, by default, also displayed on the site in the order they are submitted & approved after Promoted, Premium and Advanced listings in the same category.
Standard listings cost $80 MXN. They are visible on the site for 14 days and offer a much larger set of options:
- 💥 Two (2) additional gallery images
- 🖼️ Cover Image
- 🗺️ Visible location / map
- 😋 Social media links
- ✍️ 500 word description text
- 🏷️ Tags & attributes options
- ✉️ Contact Information
Standard listings are, by default, displayed on the site in the order they are received, always above Basic listings but after Promoted and Premium listings.
Permium listings are the best value and cost $100 MXN. They are visible on the site for 30 days and offer the full set of information options:
- 🎥 Video link
- 💥 Four (4) additional gallery images
- 🖼️ Cover Image
- 🗺️ Visible location / map
- 😋 Social media links
- 📎 Upload attachments
- ✍️ Unlimited description text
- 🏷️ Tags & attributes options
- ✉️ Contact Information
Premium listings are, by default, displayed on the site in the order they are received, at the top of your categor(ies) and always above Basic and Standard listings. Premium listings are also “featured” with blue highlighted coloring. Only Promoted listings would appear above them.
Promoted listings are pinned to the absolute top of the category and cost an additional $100 MXN. You can only promote a listing after first creating a listing with one of the packages above. Promoted listings also stands out with yellow highlighted coloring.
